Goat Ownership for Vulnerable Rural Families
Goats Herding
$1,636
raised
Goal:
$36,000
Executive Summary
Yemen’s ongoing conflict has left millions of rural families in extreme poverty, with limited access to sustainable sources of income. The Goat Ownership Project aims to empower vulnerable households by providing them with three female goats and one male goat each, along with training and technical support. This intervention will enable families to generate sustainable income through milk production, breeding, and the sale of livestock, thereby improving food security and resilience.
The Urgent Need
Rural families in Yemen, especially women and children, face acute poverty, food insecurity, and a lack of livelihood opportunities. Many depend on daily labor or seasonal agriculture, which is unreliable and insufficient. Goat ownership offers a rapid, sustainable, and culturally appropriate pathway to income generation and improved nutrition
Our Mission
To empower 40 vulnerable rural families in Taiz, Al Hudaydah, and Abyan governorates by providing them with three female goats and one male goat per household, coupled with training in animal husbandry and ongoing technical support, enabling them to achieve sustainable livelihoods and improved well-being.

Economic Empowerment for Small-Scale Fishermen
Offshore Fishing
$60
raised
Goal:
$36,500
Executive Summary
Yemen’s coastal communities have been severely affected by conflict, economic collapse, and environmental challenges, leaving thousands of small-scale fishermen without reliable livelihoods. This project aims to restore and enhance the income-generating capacity of vulnerable fishermen by providing essential support: boat repairs, new outboard engines, and comprehensive fishing gear kits. Through this intervention, families will regain access to sustainable income, improved food security, and greater community resilience.
The Urgent Need
Small-scale fishermen in Yemen’s Red Sea and Arabian Sea coastal areas face deteriorating boats, lack of functional engines, and insufficient fishing equipment. Many have lost their only means of income, resulting in increased poverty, food insecurity, and migration. Immediate support is needed to restore their productive assets and enable them to resume fishing safely and efficiently.
Our Mission
To empower 10 vulnerable fishing households in Al Hudaydah, Taiz (Mokha), and Hadramawt (Mukalla) by providing boat repairs, new engines, and fishing gear kits, coupled with technical training and ongoing support, enabling them to restore their livelihoods and support their families.

Mobile Sales Kiosk for Economic Empowerment
Mobile Grocery
$0
raised
Goal:
$33,500
Executive Summary
Access to markets and essential goods remains a challenge for many communities in Yemen, especially in densely populated urban areas and remote neighborhoods. The Mobile Sales Kiosk Project aims to empower vulnerable youth and women by providing them with mobile kiosks (tricycle carts or small vans) equipped to sell groceries, household items, and offer basic services. This intervention will create sustainable self-employment, increase access to goods, and foster entrepreneurship in underserved areas.
The Urgent Need
Many Yemenis, particularly in urban slums and peri-urban settlements, lack easy access to affordable goods and services due to market disruptions, insecurity, and high transportation costs. Unemployment among youth and women is high, and opportunities for small business start-up are limited by lack of capital and infrastructure. Mobile kiosks offer a flexible, low-cost solution to bring goods and services directly to communities in need.
Our Mission
To empower 10 vulnerable youth and women in Mukalla (Hadramawt), Hodeidah, and Marib by providing each with a fully equipped mobile sales kiosk, business training, and ongoing support, enabling them to generate sustainable income and improve community access to essential goods.
